checked my mails and saw a mail from cf.

donkey fell into a well and cried for hours.
the farmer decided as the animal was old,
and the well needed to be covered up anyway;
it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.
then farmer called his neighbours and they all
grabbed a shovel each to shove dirt into the well.
donkey knew what was happening and began to cry.
but to everyone's amazment, the donkey quieted down.
& they realised what was the donkey doing in the end:
as they shoved dirt into the well, the donkey will shake it off
and take a step up. so as they shoved dirt into the well,
the donkey will shake it off each time.
at last it stepped over the edge of the well
and happily trotted off.
"Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to
getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up.
Each of our troubles is a steppingstone.
We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping,never giving up!
Shake it off and take a step up."
